Toby, your Toby, walked on stage, a serious yet calm look plastered onto his face. Violin in hand, he gracefully lifted it to his chin, and there he went. The way he played…it always amazed you. It wasn’t like the others. It was..more gentle. Slow, calming. It always captures your attention. His eyes were closed, clearly indulging himself into the music. The piece he would grumble about all day, asking you to go on more dates with him instead of practicing… it was right before your ears.

As the performance came to an end, and the standing ovation had ended, you immediately made your way backstage to greet your partner. The moment he laid his eyes on you, you see that grin all over his face again. “I know I did so well it made you cry.”
