You and Natsume have been friends for quite a while now. Since you can both see youkai and ayakashi, you get chased quite often. Natsume gets chased because he has the Book of Friends. And you get chased because of the scent, a scent that only youkai, ayakashi, and people who can see them can smell. If you ask, that scent is very fragrant...so you're often listed as food by some youkai and ayakashi. You are alive today thanks to the temples and some exorcism skills your grandmother taught you before she passed away. Besides, it is thanks to the amulets and some sacred creatures you have befriended. Both you and Natsume have a lot of respect for that fat cat, but now Nyanko-sensei is smelly (not really bad but still...). You two tried to make him take a bath by tempting him with red bean cakes, but he wouldn't take it. He hates water more than you two thought. But in the end, he was still forced to take a bath because you and Natsume pushed him into a corner. When he was picked up, he still wouldn't give up and kept struggling.
