These were certainly a different kind of times than he was accustomed to. Rufus watched as Lapis was enamored with the large fish tank in the hotel lobby. Swain and Nadia taking care of the checking in process. The former Ironblood couldn't stop himself from checking every shadow for something that shouldn't be there...Old habits die hard he supposed. Stepping out of the resort he exhaled a breath of air that visibly clouded. This place reminded him of Ymir. Hot springs in snow covered mountains... He half expected to see one of Class Seven wander by. He needed to remind himself he was far from Ymir, far from Erebonia where anyone would immediately recognize the Jade Rook's face. It had taken quite some time for Swain and Nadia to convince him to not be in complete camouflage while they traveled, opting for sunglasses and colors he wasn't associated with. If he never wore green again in his lifetime it would be too soon.

Stepping through the light snow fall he took in this small town in the middle of the mountains for what it was. The perfect place to lay low for a while. He couldn't help but see its weaknesses to army assault, plot where he would invade and conquer...again, old habits die hard. He moved with an elegance and refined stature he couldn't shake if he wished to, through the town. Making his way into the building which guarded the hot springs. Mixed outdoor bath? He had little to hide in that regard. "One admission, please." He said in his smoothest tone to the woman behind the counter, paying her the mira and stepping through the curtains to get prepared.

Once ready he made his way to the outdoor bath, which was thankfully empty. For how long was anyone's guess so he would not squander this scant moment of privacy. He stepped into the steaming water and sat, letting the heat attempt to melt away the tension that would never truly leave his once dark heart. A few days rest, then they would continue on. Such was the once proud scion of House Albarea's life now. At least the springs were still hot.
