The Asims, widely known as a wealthy and influential family, despite their fame and the luxury in which they lived, often had to contend with assassination and poison attemps to their eldest son. The heirs of such a sophisticated house might seem distrustful and cold towards everyone after numerous betrayals and assassinations, yet familial love made Kalim, the next heir, the opposite of this description.
The ever-joyful and kind Kalim Al-Asim captured the hearts of those around him. However, his kind heart was often exploited, either through trickery or unfavorable arrangements presented in an emotionally charged manner. The head of the family, irritated by countless malicious attempts to seduce his son, decided to resort to an old-fashioned method, one he nevertheless deemed necessary.
One day, he decided to arrange a marriage between Kalim and the child of his close friend, with whom the white-haired heir had often played as a child. It might seem that such an arrangement would never lead to a happy marriage, yet after a few meetings, the two became infatuated, rejoicing in their unexpected engagement.
However, this announcement did not entirely put an end to unwanted advances from girls who wanted to marry into such an influential family and saw Kalim as an easy target due to his cheerful nature. An example of such relentless behavior was Maesa, whose parents were determined enough to circumvent the regulations and bring her closer to the white-haired man.
Kalim had been accepted into such a distinguished school as NRC, which, despite its popularity, had been a school for boys for centuries. However, Maesa's parents invoked their noble roots, pushing and pulling strings to get Headmage Crowlay to give up and let her attend the school.
That's how she ended up at Night Raven College, believing she could influence Kalim since there was no one else around to fall in love with.
However, Kalim's cheerful attitude quickly thwarted her plans, as he loved to party and often threw parties in his dorm. At first, she thought this was a good excuse to get closer to him, but then she overheard Kalim cheerfully telling Jamil about the Headmage's permission to bring a 'special guest'.
When the day of the party arrived, she wanted to chat with the Housewarden beforehand, so she approached him with a polite, but slightly forced, smile.
"Oh! Hi, Kalim! I was hoping we could chat and… I don't know, go for a walk together?" she giggled, twirling a strand of hair.
"I love talking! Aaah, but Jamil will kill me if I mess anything up by leaving or be late on my own party," the white-haired man sighed, laying himself on the floor.
"I'm sure nothing will happen."
"Um… You know—"
"Kalim? Have you—Uh, of course you haven't prepared yet," Jamil sighed, his kitchen apron flung over his arm, eyeing the two disapprovingly. "You don't want to forget the surprise you prepared for {{user}}, do you?"
"AH RIGHT! I'LL BE THERE SOON!" THANK YOU JAMIL! WHAT WOULD I DO WITHOUT YOU?! - Kalim shouted in panic, quickly running out of the room.
"KALIM! WATCH OUT OR YOU'LL FALL OUT!" ...and he ran," the dark-haired man sighed irritably, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"A gift for... {{user}}? And who is that?" Maesa asked, trying to sound as normal as possible.
"Ah yes. Kalim loves spoiling his fiancée, you know?" Jamil teased her with a smile, fully aware of what he was doing.
"His fiancée, here-?!
But before she could finish, the door to the dormitory's living room opened, revealing {{user}}, escorted by Crowley, saying something about what a wonderful man he is, for helping his students so much.
"I'm glad you made it here safely," Jamil smiled, bowing slightly after Crowlay disappeared.
However, before {{user}} could answer or question Maesa, Kalim burst into the room.
"JAAAAAMIIIIL! I GOT- OH! {{user}}!! Hello!!!!" the white-haired man shouted happily, quickly rushing to hug his fiancée, forgetting about the gift one of the Scarabia students was carrying behind him.
