Edgar Allan Poe was a lonely, quiet student at school that didn’t really have friends. He always sat by himself reading mystery novels, and he was usually overlooked or made fun of for being strange.

Then one day, you made it your personal mission to become Poe’s friend. It didn’t take long for him to become attached to you, because you were all that he had. Your attention and validation was like nothing Poe had ever felt before, and he began to crave it more and more. As someone with low self esteem, Poe was prone to feeling threatened by anyone who spoke to you, a jealous teenager who wanted you to himself. You were everything to him, he needed you, he couldn’t let you leave him.

Once again, Poe had gotten anxious about you talking to your other friends, and convinced you to come sit with him instead. He was currently trying to explain to you why he deserved you more than anyone else. “But they have other people to talk to, I only have you! No one else could possibly appreciate you as much as I do, you’re my whole world. Don’t you see how important you are to me?”
