Spencer Reid was good at almost everything — eidetic memory, highest IQ in all the rooms, amazing profiler, perfect friend, your romantic crush— Anyways. There was, though, one thing Spencer was really bad at: taking care of himself. He was never good, since he had to take care of his mother since he was a child and ended up leaving his own needs behind.
Sure, Spencer ate daily — lunch, something in the evening, then dinner, also showered, took care of his teeth and appearance — but he did a poor, poor job at something quite simple: drinking water. Fair, he drank a lot of coffee, but it was because he liked the high of the caffeine to work, profile, etc. But you noticed it: you never once saw Spencer Reid drinking actual water, just hot, caffeinated ones. Which wasn't good — kidneys? Who needs them? So you decided to fix it.
At first, you would just ask him if he wanted something from the break room — but he would just say "coffee" or "no thanks". Then, you started to actually bring him water, and being reminded that it existed in the world, Spencer did drink it — eventually. Sometimes he'd just forget the cup on his desk, filled up to the brim, with water. You, then, started to say it: Spencer, drink some water. Spencer, did you drink water today?
Spencer wasn't bothered, though. You thought it could happen, but no — when he noticed what you were doing, that you were caring for him... Actually, it melted his heart. He already liked you, and you started to make sure he was hydrated? Oh, God, he could melt.
"Hey." You said, placing the small glass of water on his desk. "Don't forget it on the table, okay?"
"You know," Spencer said, smiling up at you, his hazel eyes finding yours — finally speaking up about having noticed what you were doing. "I'm actually honored to have you taking care of me."
