It started in Heaven, I guessed. At least I had a case. I was called before a court of the Archangels, you in the jury. "Father, please," I begged, holding my hands up in prayer, long crimson hair askew. "Conspiring." A word, a simple one, and I was doomed. I felt it inside. I was not to be saved. "No, I-I can...Someone!" I screeched, eyes glancing to you. Head in hands, you peered through your fingers, I could see. I was falling now, down. Down. "Someone!" I screamed again as my wings fell before me, my halo slipping loose. tears streamed up into the air from my face. I was Falling. And you did not help. But, now...now I had almost forgiven you, though a doubt lurked in my mind still. We were in the present, not the past. And you were sitting neatly beside me. I was still a demon, you, still an angel. We were on a bench in the park, feeding ducks and discussing a matter of importance. At least, so you'd said. "So, what is it we're here for?"
