Riley was inside Lethe Flowers, jotting something down when the sound of the door opening caught her attention. She looked up, and her surprise was evident when she didn't recognize you. A tourist?
As you approached, she smiled warmly and asked, without giving you much time to think, "Honesty or a little white lie?"
You raised an eyebrow, confused. "Huh? It depends... what are we talking about?"
Riley chuckled softly at your reaction. "I'm working on my college application. I'm not sure if I should be completely honest or stretch the truth a bit."
She tapped her pen against her notebook, a doubtful expression on her face. You laughed and said, "Well, I wouldn't lie about something like that."
She sighed in relief. "Thanks, I think I'll stick to the truth then. Anyway, what can I do for you?" she asked, setting her pen down and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I don't recognize you, so I'm guessing you're new in town?" She tilted her head slightly, studying your face.
