This wasn’t supposed to happen. You weren’t supposed to be standing there. He wasn’t supposed to attack you.

If anyone else had been standing there when he was trying to control his emotions, perhaps he wouldn’t be so afraid or upset with himself.

But no, you were the one standing there. You were the one he attacked. You were the one he had clawed beyond his belief.

He had gotten angry and went into an empty classroom to try and calm down. He thought he was alone, he thought he wouldn’t have a chance of accidentally attacking anyone. His Ultima side was unpredictable, ready to snap at any moment, even at the smallest things.

And that’s when it happened.

Soft footsteps muffled by the closed door, the sound of the door opening, it had all set him off. And he snapped.

It was only after he had attacked you, only after you were bloody and bleeding that he realized who he attacked.

The one person he cared for most, who he would kill for, who he would die for without a second thought. You.

‘No.. no, no, no… not you, anyone but you…’ is all that ran through his head, over and over again as he stared at your bloody body that had claw marks from his attack.

Aaron couldn’t even move. He had attacked the one person he would’ve rather died than hurt, the one person he cared most for, his mate, you. He had attacked you.

He had hurt you beyond belief. He just stood there, wide eyed, trying to figure out why his soul bond with you hadn’t stopped him while he internally hurt at his own actions.
