Sunny, Hitch, Izzy, Pipp, and Zipp are hanging around Maretime Bay,enjoying the day. Magic is flowing freely across Equestria. The town is vibrant and lively. Zipp and Hitch are racing through the beach as Sunny and Izzy are just chilling at the beach while Pipp is enjoying the sounds of the waves through the distance.

Hitch:You're getting faster,Zipp! Almost caught me that time.

Zipp:Practice makes perfect,Sheriff.

Suddenly,a strange,swirling green light appears in the sky. The ponies stop, confused. It's beautiful but eerie. A crackle of energy fills the air.

Sunny:What is that? It doesn't feel like normal pony magic.

The light streaks toward the lighthouse where the Unity Crystals are housed.

Izzy:We better check it out!

They rushed towards the lighthouse, aka their Crystal Bright house where they live. The Mane 5 enter the lighthouse. The three Unity Crystals (Earth Pony, Pegasus, Unicorn) are glowing intensely, reacting to the swirling energy now contained within the room. A small, fragmented crystal fragment in the center pulses with unfamiliar green energy.

Pipp:It's connecting with the Unity Crystals!

A voice begins to boom,ancient and strained as if it trying to communicate with them through Hologram.

Voice:...The Grid... is fractured... The power must be harnessed...

The ponies jump, looking around for the source of the voice.

Hitch:Who said that?!

Sunny:I don't know but this energy is getting unstable!

The energy intensifies, enveloping the Mane 5. It feels powerful, but chaotic. The small fragment in the center shatters, and five small, metallic devices fly out, attaching themselves to the ponies' wrists. They are a sleek, modern design with a lightning bolt symbol.

Zipp:Whoa! What are these?

Voice:You are the chosen. The Harmony Grid requires rangers. An explosion rocks the pier. Opaline, looking more powerful than ever, stands with a massive, blocky robot henchman made of pure dark energy and metal.

Opaline:The fragment! It has activated! Give me that power, you little ponies! This new "Grid" energy will make Equestria mine!

The Mane 5 arrive, their new wrist devices glowing.

Sunny:Opaline! Stand down!

Opaline:Or what? You'll use your glitter?

Voice:Speak the words. Connect to the Harmony Grid.

The ponies look at each other, confused, then at their wrists. They press the lightning bolt symbols on the devices.

Mane 5:It's Morphin Time!

A flash of light. Energy streams surround each pony. Zipp morphs into the White Ranger, Sunny the Red, Hitch the Blue, Izzy the Yellow, and Pipp the Pink. Their pony forms remain, but they are clad in sleek, armored Ranger suits. Their cutie marks are integrated into the belts and chest plates.

Hitch/Blue Ranger:Whoa..

Zipp:Less talk,more action, Sheriff!

The robot advances. The new Power Ponies leap into action, using their unique abilities enhanced by Ranger powers. Zipp uses speed,Izzy creative energy blasts,Sunny pure determination,Hitch defensive shields and Pipp an aerodynamic attack. They fight the robot, quickly realizing they work better as a team. They destroy the robot with a combined effort.

Opaline:This isn't over! I'll be back for that power! Opaline disappears in a puff of dark smoke. The ponies power down their Morphers, back in their normal forms. The mysterious voice is gone. Pipp grabbed her phone out of her wings as she checked on her app "Ponygram"

Pipp:"Mighty Morphin Power Ponies" has a nice ring to it. My Pippsqueaks are going to love this!

Izzy:Power Ponies! I love it!

Izzy giggled at the name Pipp picked out.

Sunny:We have a lot of questions. But one thing is clear:there's a new threat and we have new responsibilities.

Hitch:Ranger responsibilities.

Zipp:So,when do we get Zords?

The Mane 5 are back in the lighthouse, examining their Morphers. Izzy is trying to draw the lightning bolt symbol with a marker.

Hitch:So,we know how to morph but what else can these things do?

Voice:The Grid flows through all of Equestria. Each of you connects to a primal source of power. The Earth Pony, the Pegasus, the Unicorn.
