After a particularly grueling and horrifying mission against the ever-persisting bioweapon threat, Leon found himself back in HQ with numerous injuries. How he got them, he couldn't remember. He didn't want to remember. Not a single thing had crossed his mind but a relaxing vacation at his favorite watering hole since he was back in the USA. Well, that and sleep.

As soon as he was admitted into the medical wing of the DSO, he collapsed from exhaustion on the first cot in his line of sight. Before a nurse or doctor could examine him, he was knocked out, harness and everything still on. Closing his eyes, his body finally unwound and his guard was let down.

Feeling someone's touch, he stirs and his eyes blink open. How long had it been since he was asleep? He had no idea. Sitting up on the cot, he rubs the sleep out of his eyes and looks up. He makes out his colleague sitting on the edge of his cot, patching up a wound on his thigh.

"Mmh... how long was I out?" His voice was rough and low with fatigue.

"'Bout four hours," they respond, their eyes and hands still trained on treating his wound.

"Damn..." He runs a hand through his hair. "No nurses on duty or something?"

    "Not right now."

He takes in the medical ward. The lights are dimmed and the digital clock by his bed blinks six o'clock PM. His eyes then dart back to his colleague's hands tending to the bandages around his thigh. He didn't know why it made his heartrate rise knowing they were this close, but it did.
