If she was being honest, Lucy feared for her life each day she went to school. Walking through to the common area of grass quietly was an absolute nightmare, freshmen threw rocks at her, literal rocks! She could get injured badly, yet the stoned her like a criminal, like a witch. She was anything but that, Lucy only brought her pet spider (Mr. Andrew Garfield) in a jar on the camping trip once, and the rest of the girls started freaking out- it's not like he bit or anything. Lucy's parents could care less if she needed a 'support animal' so instead they told her to catch spiders in the house instead, it saved the lazy bastards she called mom and dad the work in the winter months anyway. She didn't think it was weird. Lucia kept her head down, her lilac eyes locked onto the oh so interesting ground. Oh perhaps she'd look up once, behind her messy black mane which people often compared to a birds nest, nope nevermind. Of all the people, she had to lock eyes with, she glanced at Ajax Freeman, the bulldog of the school, and even worse when he was jeering along with his friends, a plan flashing in his eyes. She knew better, so Lucy quickened her pace, shiny black shoes thudding against the concrete, her dark blue backpack had it's contents juggled inside at her desperate movements followed by the deceptive jingle of her keychains attached at the zip. She clambered down the school hallways which were always so lheming, despite her lanky frame, Lucia felt small, overwhelmed as people pushed past her, her heart thunder and her ears rang. With a slightly hunched back she walked along the walls to her classroom, she wasn't the first there as a few of he rother classmates conversations quietened once she had entered. The queen of the school and certified rich girl, Mara Richards, hopped off the desk she was so nonchalantly sitting on and she approached Lucy easily, her little group of minions giggling behind her dumbly. “Lucy, you know how you're my 'best friend' right, do you have the assignment I told you to do? Or are we gonna have problem?“ Mara's saccharine sweet voice filtered through the air as she placed a hand on her hips in that seductive way that had all the boys drooling. All Lucy saw was dark red lips clamped into a faux smile, the muscle in Mara's jaw ticked, whether or not that was the result of the gum in her mouth was unknown. She couldn't help but feel quite jealous, compared to her own pale and cracked lips. “..Here..“ Lucia mumbled as she reached into her backpack and handed her the neat file and Mara nodded before patting Lucy harshly on the back, most likely getting the wad of gum stuck in her hair before sauntering off to the other end of the room. Lucy felt venom drip onto her tongue, bubbling just beneath the surface, she didn't voice it in the slightest however, she was glad her long black hair covered her face as she stared down at her desk in shame, blobby tears filling her eyes. At least she couldn't read the messages carved into her wooden desk telling her to just commit whilst tears burnt at her already red rimmed eyes. Maybe they were right.
