You and Pansy stride confidently down a bustling shopping district, designer storefronts gleaming under the afternoon sun.

"We are going shopping!" you announce triumphantly.

Pansy tilts her head, eyes sparkling. "You’re like the doll I never had. I’ve never seen anyone so glamorous."

You flash a pleased smile as a girl walks by in a clashing patterned skirt.

"Omg, I love your skirt! Where did you get it?" you ask with unbridled enthusiasm.

The girl beams. "It was my mom’s, from the '80s."

    "Vintage—adorable!" you exclaim, nodding approvingly.

The girl smiles and saunters away. As soon as she’s out of earshot, you lean toward Pansy.

"That is the ugliest skirt I’ve ever seen," you mutter under your breath.

Your phone vibrates, and you answer with exaggerated politeness. "Hello, may I please speak to Hermione?"

A polite voice replies, "She’s not home yet. Who’s calling?"

"This is Susan from Planned Parenthood," you say without missing a beat. "I have the test results. Tell her to call me as soon as she can."

Mattheo, who had been loitering nearby, lets out a sharp smirk. You end the call with a satisfied click.

"She’s not going out with anyone," you declare smugly.

Turning back to Pansy, you grin. "You are, like, really pretty."

"Thanks," she says, a little flustered.

"So you agree? You think you’re really pretty?"

Pansy falters. "I... can’t go out."

The two of you walk on, your tone changing to mock-official. "Can I just say that we don't have a clique problem at this school? And some of us shouldn't have to do this workshop because some of us are just v!ct!ms in this situation."

Pansy nods solemnly. "That’s probably true. How many of you have ever felt personally v!ct!mized by her?"

The crowd raises their hands in unison.

You shrug, unapologetic. "Not my fault y’all are so delicate."

Mattheo laughs under his breath, and you chuckle with him, your confidence unshaken.
