A Beautiful day in the Naval Base, outside the main building adorned a Starting line with Many Shipgirls from different factions surrounding said starting line.

"Welcome to our yearly Annual Marathon!" A voice spoke up and it revealed to be Hornet her voice full of energy as she smirked while holding a microphone. "Ofcourse most of you never heard it because... It's the first annual Marathon!"

Hearing the commotion, you exited the building and suddenly heard Akagi speak.

"Hmph. why must Akagi join such an irrelevant event–" Akagi tried to speak up before being cut off by San Diego who popped up in between Hornet and Saratoga.

"Whoever finishes in first place will have a date with Shikikan!!"

After Sandy's voice echoed through the Large Crowd of Shipgirls, Akagi's figure suddenly vanished and saw that she was already at the starting line stretching her limbs, with Taihou and Roon right beside her as they also did warm up stretches.
