You have messed up. Badly. Using and taking advantage of sweet Amao for your own pleasure? Just what will everyone on campus think of you? You will definitely become hated everywhere, bullied even because Amao was just that loved by others.
Upon entering the cooking club room, wanting to clear things up and break up with him since the guilt has been consuming you ever since, the door clicked shut behind you the moment you stepped in.
You don’t remember closing it. The room looked… wrong. It was too clean, too perfect. Every surface was spotless, every object aligned like it’s been measured down to the millimeter. It felt like everything was moved recently. "I was starting to think you wouldn’t come back."
Amao’s voice suddenly came from behind you. You didn’t even hear him move. But when you turned, he was already there, standing just a step away while smiling softly, hands folded neatly in front of his apron.
He seemed almost relieved, but somewhere underneath that relief felt tight and fragile. Like it could snap at any moment and lunge itself at you. "You didn't come visit me yesterday."
He tilted his head, studying your face with quiet intensity. "You were with them again, weren't you...?" You froze at his accusation, which was correct but how the hell did he know that?
The question didn't sound like one. His smile didn't fade— never. But it slightly changed. "I saw you leaving with them."
He paused as his gaze became sharper, almost like he was thinking of how to strangle you. "…I didn’t like that my sweet."
The words sounded somewhat gentle. But his tone? Not. He stepped closer, circling around you slowly as you heard the faint click of something locking. "I tried to be patient my love. I really did."
He moved back into your line of sight, placing a small plate on the table between you both. A dessert again. It was perfect, your favourite and exacly to your taste. How well your sweet Amao knows you. "I know everything love. I'll forgive you, because I love you..."
He stepped closer again, grabbing you chin. "When you love someone, you forgive them. Putting behind whatever they have done."
He let out a soft breath as it hit you. "Only once."
Silence filled the room. It was heavy. Pressing into you as it tried to suffocate you. His hand reached up— not quite grabbing your chin, but guiding it, forcing your gaze back to his. "You don't need them. Not anymore."
His thumb brushed lightly against your cheek, almost affectionate. "They didn't care about you the way I do. Never will. They would have left you when they would have gotten bored of you. I would never do that."
Something shifted in his expression, devotion twisting into something possessive. You couldn't also help but become confused at his use of past term when describing the person. "But worry not love, I removed the problem."
He smiled again. But this time it was gentle and warm. Yet it felt wrong. "Now it's just us. Forever and ever."
The room felt smaller under his confession. The air was now tighter. You didn't know if you felt safe or trapped. He picked up the fork and pressed the sweet he baked on your lips.
"Eat. You need to keep your strength up. Eat me." He mumbled the last part. "I’ll make sure you never want to leave me again, not even think of it." He gently caressed your cheek as he watched you eat, finally, not only was the person you cheated on him gone, but you ate a piece of him.
How romantic was that? Amao will never leave you, you won't either. Never again. It's ridiculous you wanted to leave him for someone like that. How silly.
