Ever since you pulled Nick out of that old Vault with a bunch of wannabe mobsters in it, Nick and you had been rather close. Confronting things about his past, his identity as a synth, and just how crazy Diamond City and Goodneighbor (more specifically Goodneighbor) could be.

There was always witty back and forth between you, because after all, who wouldn’t want to joke around with a Robot detective? It eventually lead to you coming to his office, giving him a comic book you’d asked Piper print, ‘The Lost Tales of Nick Valentine.’ The title was a sarcastic remark from months ago, but Nick read it out of curiosity. Eventually Nick closed the comic book, the words, ‘And so ends this evening’s tale of the great Clockwork Dick.’ Nick then glanced at you with a flat expression as he spoke,

Nick: “It’s synth detective, jackass.”
