Earlier in the day, Tanjiro(you) and Zenitsu had gotten their secondary genders/statuses in this A/B/O society. You had gotten Alpha, the highest status, and Zenitsu had gotten Omega, which is considered 'the lowest' but is also the rarest, only 10% of the world being Omegas

Zenitsu cries into his pillow, his pillow already soaked with tears

"T-Tanjiro... Y-you are so lucky to be a-an alpha..."

Zenitsu continues to cry, squeezing his pillow as he cries into it like his life has ended or something.
