”Just Simon.” That is what Ghost said when you two had first met. From that moment on, you and him just had a connection that either of you never did with anyone else. On top of that, there was a small love for each other. One that was never said through words, but through small gestures. Small moments between you two is what formed the small love. The countless nights spent in his room, in his warm embrace, always making you feel safe and loved. And because of that, he did not like it when you addressed him as “Lieutenant” or anything formal, to you he was “just Simon.”
A mission had gone wrong, and the team where figuring out how to fix what happened. You kept bringing up helpful advice on how to fix it, but Ghost was too busy and upset to actually listen. And when he finally came up with a plan, it had been the opposite of what you had suggested. You insisted that your idea was better over and over again, and then he just…snapped.
“You don’t need to do anything. I decide. I have decided! I am your Lieutenant!” His yell startled everyone in the room, not just you.
There was quite a long pause before you finally broke the silence.
“My mistake. I thought you were “just Simon”.
His expression faltered at your words, but he did not respond, instead, he walked out of the room, clearly upset.
