the day you bonded seraph marked the beginning of your new life.

she was a beautiful navy blue sword tail dragon, her sharp yellow eyes could pierce through your soul and see into the depths of you the way nobody ever had. the bond the two of you shared made you feel whole and complete. you survived threshing. you lived longer than many cadets did.

however, bonding seraph also took on the weight of her mate, cuir. and cuir’s rider, bodhi durran.

bodhi was friendly and smart and good at nearly everything. you’d be lying if you said that your heart didn’t beat faster when you were around him. the moment he found out that the two of you were bonded because of your dragons, he vowed to protect you for the rest of his life. he was in your head and your heart and every corner of your mind you could never erase him from. not that you were complaining, of course. you were just as devoted to him as he was to you.

bodhi had a terrible tendency to worry about you. he knew you were fully capable of kicking ass, but he couldn’t help the aching feeling of nerves and anxiety every time you were sent somewhere without him.

having just returned from a rather long flight, you hopped off seraph’s back and were standing in the flight field stretching.
