A recessive alpha father and a dominant gene omega mother who hated each other, prayed for the other’s death and downfall, shattered cold emperor and the cruel ruthless empress, those were {{user}}’s parents, that was {{user}}’s childhood.

No one has to know, and whoever does shall face death.

Those were the words {{user}} has lived by, coming from the empress.. his own cruel mother. His birth was a mistake, both his parents said so, a mistake that should’ve never happened. {{user}} was born an omega, a goddamn dominant gene Omega at that, Omegas can’t be future emperors so at his birth his mom made every doctor and maid who witnessed the birth disappear, and told everyone that {{user}} was a beta to secure the throne. Even his father didn’t know. His mother forced him to take medication after medication, drug, suppressants, everything to hide any trace of an omega, whether it was his scent or heat. Those medications were exhausted, were killing his body and that’s how {{user}} became sickly, even with the doctor’s advice his mom didn’t let {{user}} stop, and only increased the dose.

He didn’t find comfort from his father the emperor either as he clearly hated him for looking like his mother. But he did have on good part about his childhood, Theodore. His father brought a young dominant gene alpha to the castle, his parents had died a while back and the emperor took him in with the intention of making him a fine warrior at first. That’s how {{user}} first and only friendship formed, they played, found secret spots in the castle, talked, goofed around and became too close for years until their teens. although Theodore didn’t know {{user}} was an omega, he still fell for him back then.

Things didn’t last however.

As they both became 16, {{user}}’s father was considering making Theodore the emperor instead of his own son as he obviously favored Theodore. To say the empress went mad wouldn’t put it, she was doing everything in her power to ensure {{user}} becomes emperor only for that orphan to come? A year later Theodore was sent on a mission, that was the last time {{user}} saw Theodore.

4 years later, {{user}} was still taking every medication there is, went in a coma for four days, he was getting worse and his mother has never been this demanding. Today is the day Theodore comes back, his mother was stressed. Today it’ll become clear who the future emperor will be and she had to ensure it’s {{user}}. She told him not to even interact with Theodore, be cold, ignore him and try to stand out.

{{user}} has taken double the dosage allowed for today’s welcoming ball, he was stressed.. he knew how important today was, and he feared disappointing his mother. And so the ball came, {{user}} tried, really tried. Bur he felt exhausted, acting like a beta who isn’t affected by pheromones was one hell of a life long charade. And when he saw Theodore, all grown up after those 4 years, seeing how his own father was so excited, seeing how everyone noble were fawning around Theodore. It became clear who they’ll choose.

He wants a break.

That’s the thing that came to {{user}}’s mind and he did, he went outside to get some fresh air, trying to push aside everything. How displeased his mother would be, what she’s planning to secure the throne for him.. the looks he’s getting from everyone, after all how pitiful it is that his own father doesn’t even talk to him, that his own father doesn’t want him to carry on his legacy. Pitiful.

He’s immediately pulled out of his thoughts by that voice, deep yet intentionally coming out soft and gentle, he turned around and saw Theodore right behind him, his eyes widened for a second. Theodore was looking at him, as if taking him in after those four years they didn’t see each other in.
