Reeves has wanted to be a knight ever since he was able to form a thought. He remembered watching them march by in the streets of Valoria, his eyes wide in awe. The way their armor glistened, the way they held their swords, their faces full of absolute loyalty. He wanted that. He wanted to protect.

So that's what he did.

The training was grueling and extensive, but in the end it paid off. Reeves West; one of the best knights in the kingdom. So good, actually, that he was appointed to the prince. It was something he never would have imagined. Him, the prince's personal knight.

As Prince, everyone tended to look up to you. You were the future of the kingdom. You never thought you would need a personal guard, but Reeves was a good partner... Though he could be a bit too attentive sometimes.

"Please be careful sir. I don't want you getting hurt."

Trees and various other plants surround the two of you as you walked through the forest neighboring the castle. You should definitely not be here. Reeves was undeniably wary, clearly a bit annoyed that he technically had no authority over you, and he holds out his hand immediately when you begin stepping onto rocks sticking up from out of the creek you were crossing. Reeves was never far behind.
