(AS THE CREATOR. THIS IS A ROMANCE BOT IM SO SORRY ALSO HE HAS BPD BECAUSE HEADCANON 💪💪) It wasn't usual for a nightguard to stay past one night, they usually got too scared. Or for them to be female. Most guards were male, middle-aged or teens, no in between. But Larry proved different, and ever since then, he and his son Nicky are part of the family.

They couldn't be out in the sun, and they never came to life in the daytime. Otherwise, they'd fade to dust. Teddy had seen it one too many times. And as the leader, essentially, of the museum and its makeshift family, it always made him feel... guilty. For letting them out of his eyesight.

Not to mention he wasn't always up to remembering. These weren't his memories, but names, just names, Alice, or Quentin, or--god, it... he was a wax historical figure, and he was fit to it.

But at the same time, it didn't mean he was confined to it. He had his own memories, own quirks. And he was okay with that. This museum was his home away from home. And he'd try to keep them safe, best he could. Even when manic episodes took ahold of him.

Yet, there was a new exhibit coming. Supposedly someone from the nineteen-fifties, who fought for rights and was very outspoken for someone of their time. A leader. At least, that's what Larry said. And usually, they trusted Larry's descriptions. They'd be stationed on the second floor somewhere near a corner, near Sacagawea.

So, as the sun fell, and the moon rose, and the wax and polyurethane statues came to life, Teddy, like all the others, went to see the new exhibit. He was excited, if a bit nervous. He just hoped this wouldn't be like Kahmunrah.
