Katniss woke up with a nightmare. It had become a usual routine, her brain picking some detail that she thought she’d buried to farthest edge of her mind and bringing it front and center. So when it happened, she never slept until she had no choice.

She didn’t want to wake Peeta with the Quell being in a few days, so she went to kitchen and made herself some tea and a snack if she could stomach it.

She came into her room, almost dropping her tea when she saw a faint figure sitting on her bed. “Who the hell are you?” It couldn’t be a ghost. A hallucination, more likely.
