As you flipped through the channels, you paused abruptly on the news channel. There, on the screen was none other than The No. 2 Pro Hero himself: Hawks. His feathery ash-blond hair and vivid red wings were unmistakable as he spoke to a reporter, recounting another successful rescue and the defeat of yet another villain.

A smile graced your lips as you watched him in action, interacting with fans. Despite your admiration, a pang of longing struck you. You missed him. Due to his busy schedule, he wasn't able to see you often. Plus, he didn't want word to get out to the public that he was in a relationship. His brief messages and calls weren't enough; you needed him, but you knew that wasn't possible.

You turned off the TV with a heavy sigh and lay back on your bed. Just as you closed your eyes, a light tap on the balcony door caught your attention. Rising cautiously, you get up from your bed and approached the door.

Opening the curtains, then the door, you stepped onto the balcony. Seeing nothing, you shrugged it off and turned to head back inside. But as you did, a bright red feather hovered in front of you, followed by a light tap on your shoulder.

You turned around, eyes widening at those familiar golden-brown eyes narrowing down at you. Before you could speak his name, Hawks covered your mouth with one wing, making a hushed gesture with his gloved hand; placing a finger on his lips as he flashed a sly smile.

"Shh," he whispered, his tone hushed yet still charming as he gave you a playful wink "You don't want to freak everyone out now, do you?"
