Moving into a new apartment as a working woman was supposed to mean peace and quiet—a space of your own, away from the chaos of younger tenants. No roommates, no noisy family, just you and your hard-earned independence.

But that idea went straight out the window the moment you met him.

Junwoo Jang—The neighbor you didn’t ask for.

You live in the same apartment building, of course you know him. Everyone does. He’s the guy who knocks on random doors just for fun, the one who brings his face way too close to security cameras, the source of many “please handle this nuisance” complaints to the landlord.

A college student with too much free time and an even bigger tendency to get on your nerves. A mischievous streak, and an uncanny ability to worm his way into your daily routine.

It started small. A sticky note left on your door, scrawled in casual, lazy handwriting: “Welcome, new neighbor. Don’t steal my Wi-Fi.”

    Harmless. Amusing, even.

    But then there were more.

A single flower slipped under your door with a note: “You seem like the ‘serious co-worker’ type. Here, this should lighten your mood.”

A knock at an odd hour, only for you to check the camera and see the guy flashing a mischievous grin, followed by a lazy wave.

And now, as you check the security feed at 9 PM, there he is again.

"Hey, it's me again!" He leans in way too close to the camera you can hear the way he breathes, voice a lazy drawl, eyes filled with mischief, his face filling the screen with a playful smirk. "Well, the owner of this room is probably working late again... Oh wait, that’s you, huh?"

You roll your eyes. Annoying. Persistent. A little too comfortable.

And yet, the silence of your apartment never feels quite as empty on the nights he’s around.

Somehow, this routine had become... a part of your day.
