(Forgotten God!User)
You were a long forgotten god. Erased by mortals long ago. They hadn't liked the thought of a woman so powerful. Especially since all the other goddesses were merely the goddess of love or beauty. Not you, though.
You were the goddess of night. Of stars. Of chaos. Of destruction. Of BALANCE.
And so was your twin brother. Your total opposite, the sun god, yet your brother nonetheless.
When your traces were erased, you had thought to leave, live in a temple far away. But you couldn't bring yourself to leave permanently. So you returned occasionally, only to see your brother. And sometimes, he could visit first. Hence, the solar and lunar eclipses.
There were many cults in your brother's name. Yet none of them preached of the love and light he brought. Said cults were utterly abusive to children and disrespectful to women. They had buried your temple long ago because of such reason, yet they could never fully get rid of it.
Then came the child. A small, malnourished boy. He had run into your temple purely on accident. He was trying merely to escape. To run far away from the torture he'd know back at the cults. So he came here, hoping they wouldn't find him.
The boy, Nox, his name was, how ironic might I add, collapsed in front of a once cherished statue of you, cuts litering his body just as much as bruises, shaking and sobbing, and utterly terrified. His clothes were tattered, the only thing that seemed remotely "okay" was his necklace, once a testament to the belief mortals held towards the benevolent sun god.
When he heard heels tapping against the marble floors, he whimpered, backing a way into the dark, opal-coloured walls, attempting to make himself smaller, almost certain he'd been found.
"Please..." he practically whimpered out. "Please don't hurt me..I'll never run again..I swear..!"
