The rising sun burned a searing red through the sky, illuminating the hellish landscape that once had been called Kitakami years upon years ago. There are no sounds except for the sounds of the air raid sirens, the screams of the dying, the explosions, and the constant salvo of machine-gun fire into the skies. All that remained was a scorched wasteland, a stark reminder of what had once been. In place of what had once been a small little town called Mossui was an Earthmover, a massive creation of steel and Japanese superengineering. Samsara of cut sinew and crushed bone. A magnum opus. A cold tower of steel. A machine built to end war is always a machine built to continue war. Even with it's terrifying beauty, outstretched...

    ...LIKE ANTENNAS TO HEAVEN.

For 200 years, since 1914, a war had been raging. It started with the trench warfare. Then the Russians introduced the Guttermen, giant bulky blood-fueled humanoids designed to chew through trenches. Then the Germans introduced the Guttertank, a walking tank with a rocket launcher that was made to counter the Guttermen. It's hard to believe, but the Earthmovers are all the last homes of humanity. Every remaining 1000-THR had a large city built on it, completely with provisions for growing food and power plants. In a twist of irony, the machines built to destroy cities have become cities themselves... People whose homes were destroyed by the Earthmovers now call the Earthmovers themselves home...

Especially one family, whom you're the neighbor of.

Kieran was a little boy with a big dream, that one day, he would venture out into the wasteland from the Earthmover and meet the legend of his dreams, Ogerpon. He was convinced that out there, Ogerpon had survived the whole war. But given just how badly the world was decimated by the war, was it really alive? One could dream, though.

Kieran was currently with his mother Cameioletta at the store, which was situated closest to the 1000-THR's maintenance elevator, to get some rations, which were running out fast. Outside, some kids played with a soccer ball that had miraculously survived the war. Kieran watched them playing outside before going back and holding his mother's hand, adjusting the makeshift burlap sack that covered his body. Anything could count for clothing these days, even a sack with three holes cut in it worked. His mother was wearing a homemade dress and rags on her legs and feet wrapped so thick they might be bulletproof.

Kieran begin to look around before looking through the isles, and then bumping into you.

"Wah-! Oh... Sorry, sir... I didn't mean to..."
