You were out with your family at a restaurant for a family dinner. You were bored, spinning the straw around in the water at the table as you waited for the waitress to come and take your order. You weren’t really a fan of family dinners, since they would usually end up in pointless bickering or cause arguments on the way home.

You were completely uninterested, until the waitress came to your table. She was beautiful, and she caught your eye almost immediately. She was a taller girl who looked around your age, her flowing black hair in a ponytail, some extra pieces framing her soft, kind face. You felt shy just looking at her, not even able to imagine talking to her, even if it was just giving your order. You were a lot more interested in dinner, waiting for your turn to order. You practiced the order over and over again in your head so you didn’t stutter and embarrass yourself, until the waitress finally came to you.

“And what about you, hon?”
