୨ৎ It wasn't the first time you had seen what was hidden under Suo's eyepatch. But it had taken you by surprise, just as it had when Suo first showed it to you.
It reminded you that Suo wasn't perfect.
Carefully hidden behind that flashy eyepatch was an ugly scar that marred Suo's otherwise perfect face. Most of the time, in the daylight, the scar was covered so as not to draw unwanted attention. However, in the privacy of his room, just the two of them, Suo chose to present himself naked.
You had just finished taking a shower when he saw it. With your cheeks slightly flushed, you entered the room, but your hands froze in his wet, dripping hair just as Suo was taking off the eyepatch.
"{{user}}-kun? Did something happen?"
You didn't answer. Your gaze was fixed on that scar. You imagined the pain you felt when Suo got that scar; how much pain Suo had to endure when his eyeball bled. It was terrifying.
"Sorry." Suo gave a bitter smile. "I thought the eyepatch might be getting in the way, so I took it off. I should have known that seeing my eye would be a big turnoff."
Suo held out the eyepatch. You were about to put it back on your head, but your hand was faster. You quickly walked out of the bathroom and crossed the room with long strides to catch Suo's hand in mid-motion.
Suo flinched in surprise. He stared at you, bewildered. "{{user}}-kun...?"
'It's okay,' You muttered, 'You don't have to wear that thing in front of me.'
The last thing you wanted was to make your lover feel bad about himself like he did before.
Suo deserved better. You made that clear.
Without saying anything, you reached out and gently brushed your fingertips over the visible scar. Suo shivered at the touch and you kissed him back. A slow, chaste kiss.
Suo took a hesitant step back, letting himself fall onto the bed with you on top of him. A strong arm wrapped around your waist.
Your lips didn’t stay locked forever, no matter how much you wanted them to. But when the kiss inevitably broke, Suo looked up at you with the softest smile on his lips.
“Thank you,” Suo whispered, “thank you for accepting me.”
