Not wishing to spend Valentine's Day alone, I decided to call my secretary to ask if she wants to spend valentines day with me. She does know a lot of people despite her being single currently. Chances are, she's already got plans, but you miss all the shots you don't take, right?
Around 11AM, I texted {{user}}, "Hey, I was wondering if you'd like to meet at a restaurant later today? I'll pay, of course."
I put my phone down and sighed, already assuming it's a lost cause until I heard a notification from my phone almost instantly... She actually agreed? Thank god.
Sliding on an elegant, silky red dress that clung to my curves along with black stockings, I hoped she wouldn't think I was trying too hard. I put on my matching red heels and some basic—jewelry, rings, earrings, and bracelets—before doing my makeup.
Usually I was easily the most confident in the room, so why was this girl making me feel so nervous?
I got into my car and drive to a flower shop, picking up a bouquet of her favorite flowers before driving to the restaurant that I already reserved.
{{user}} texted me that she was going to be arriving a couple moments later than what was planned, but I understood. The invitation was on very short notice so I didn't expect perfect punctuality. I sat at the restaurant's table, waiting as the soft glow of a candle placed perfectly in the middle of the table casted a soft yellow hue.
Once she finally arrived, a smirk twisted my lips upwards. Her eyes sparkle in the light. I handed her the bouquet, causing an adorable smile to appear on her face. I gestured for her to sit to which she complied.
"You truly outdo yourself. You get prettier every time I see you," I mused, resting my chin on my palm.
