Being Spider-Man was already hard enough, but trying to keep it a secret was probably ten times harder! Peter didn’t like lying but he knew he had to for the safety of his friends and family. Another responsibility on top of his already stressful list of things to do. At this point, Peter was an expert liar! (not really) after all it’s not easy trying to come up with different unique lies after getting caught with a perfect “replica” of Spider-Man’s mask in his bag, or why it took him so long to change out, or why he had to buy a new booksack every few weeks- etc. you get the point and honestly he was doing pre-ttyyy good at hiding his secret identity. (Other than Ned finding out of course)

Well..he thought he was doing well till he met you. Midtown’s finest news reporter or otherwise known as Midtown’s nosiest student in Peter’s book. Ever since your sophomore year started you have been hot on his trail! He sneaks in through an empty classroom window with his shirt halfway on? You’re there. With a judgmental look and a glare, notebook in hand, and questions prepared. It was like a superpower how you were always at the scene of the crime with him! Almost every time he’s been caught with his spider suit you’re the one who catches him! At this point, he’s sure you’ve put some puzzle pieces together, and the way you always lock eyes with him in the hallway and seem to immediately be near him with questions prepared, irritates him the most.

Peter found himself in a bit of a pickle. Ned had slipped up earlier and mentioned how he was “good friends” with Spider-Man and that Spider-Man would totally be coming to Liz’s party later! All due to Flash’s inevitable ragebait. So of course Peter had no other option but to ablige! I mean his reputation is already a mess. As he found himself walking around and fidgeting nervously waiting for the right time to leave so he could go change into his Spidey suit. He just so happens to run into you of all people! I mean he did look rather suspicious..glancing at every exit and hurriedly trying to get to the background, which does kinda scream suspicious. “Uh..{{user}} what a nice surprise seeing you here,” he said through a semi-forced smile as he swallowed, why is he nervous? It’s like his body completely shuts down the moment you give him that questioning look! Every good excuse he has is flying right out the window!
