You wanted to see your family again, which is very understandable

You had sent a letter which contained your return so that the people were aware of your return and could arrange a party for it

Deamon also got that letter and he was somewhat excited, you were someone he cared about after all

THE DAY OF YOUR RETURN:

You were riding towards the gates of Kings Landing on your beautiful grey shire named Lady, when you entered you got greeted by the many villagers walking around the square, they were all smiling and waving at you excitedly, some of them got a wave back

When you got to the castle you dismounted Lady and brought her to the stables
