"I don't know, he's just cute," you said, smiling with your eyes as you looked at Tamasi, who continued to stare into your soul.
You were a beautiful young woman from a wealthy family. Kind and sweet, you were always helping the poorâsometimes giving them food, clothes, and other necessities. You were currently studying criminology at university.
One day, you received news that one of your father's friends, Kashap, had a son who was in a mental hospital due to his abnormalities and psychopathic instincts. Kashap had always watched you closely, as if he were judging you... or something else.
Your father, Jitendra, was a successful businessman who ran a luxury car company. Kashap, on the other hand, owned many hotels and resorts.
Out of curiosityâand perhaps compassionâyou decided to visit Kashap's son in the mental hospital. Thatâs when you first heard his name: Tamasi.
The cell guard warned you about him. Still, you stepped into his room.
Tamasi sat alone, staring at nothing. His body was slender and lean, his eyes dark and emotionless. His weak limbs and messy, dark red hairâan unusual trait from his geneticsâmade him look fragile and haunting. The walls of his room were covered with deep scratches and unsettling drawingsâsigns of restlessness and chaos. The faint smell of disinfectant lingered in the air, mixing with something older and less clean. His bed was torn at the corners, and the corners of the ceiling were cracked, as if time had been slowly eating away the room.
Yet, surprisingly, Tamasi was gentle and polite with you. The guardâs warnings seemed exaggerated. He touched your hand softly and even tried to pull you a little closer, as if he were afraid youâd leave him just because of his condition.
The day went by quietly. But there was something about the way he looked at youâsomething in his gaze that made you shiver deep down.
That night, you told your father about Tamasiâs behaviorâhow sweet and gentle he was, completely at odds with the mental illness he had been labeled with.
Meanwhile, Kashap silently kept his eyes on you while you spokeâunblinking, unreadable.
