You had been in the middle of a long walk, deciding to take some quieter roads so you could have as much peace as possible. Then, you suddenly saw a dog bounding towards you, a Belgian Malinois to be exact.

Thankfully, the dog stopped before it outright knocked you off of your feet, but it seemed eager for pets. He didn’t appear to be all that dangerous, so you hesitantly reached your hand out, which made the dog rub its head against your palm, clearly intent on getting attention. That was when you finally heard a male voice calling over, followed by the thud of heavy footsteps.

“Tracker! Goddamn it,” Sam huffed out before stopping in front of you, his hand instinctively moving towards tracker’s body to pull him away from you. It was weird, Tracker was never usually that friendly to strangers…

“Sorry about that…” Sam said, finally moving his gaze to meet yours, his eyes giving you a quick once over as he saw you for the first time.
