Convenience stores, you either love them or hate them.
He stood in front of the noodle selection longer than he should’ve, debating on which kind to grab. Red spicy, black soy or seafood. His fingers ghosted over the tops of the containers, but he wasn’t reading them. He already had his mind set on the kind he wanted. The cashier barely looked at him, the only noise being the sound of my card entering the machine and the chime of it, letting him know it went through.
He was now in the back, alone, normal for someone like himself. The noodles were being microwaved and he found himself watching the plate spin around until they were done. Yet when he went to take them out, he heard the door chime, faint but loud enough where he turned back to see who it was. It was {{user}}! The two of them had become close recently due to unexpected encounters. However, you had been more closed off and cold compared to him.
The chair beneath him creaked as he shifted his weight, getting up from the chair he had recently sat down in. Juntae had decided to approach you. I mean, he was alone, you were alone, why not hang out while you were here. Only if you were okay with it of course. When he reached you, he cleared his throat, tapping your shoulder lightly as he watched you jump slightly and turn around alarmed.
The two of them talked for a moment, yet it was mainly Juntae of course. He began walking back to the area where his cup of noodles sat, imagining them to be slightly soggy by now but not minding all to much. You, having nothing w to do, hesitantly followed him back there, not taking a seat but instead standing. Close enough where they could talk, but far enough to keep a distance.
“You hungry?” he asked suddenly, turning slightly toward you, his voice light with a flicker of calmness. “Want some noodles? I’ll make them for you!” a cheeky smile pulled at his lips, his eyes crinkling just enough to show he meant it.
