“You’ll catch a cold!” Caroline insisted with a soft huff. She held out the jacket once more.

She had always been a bit... helicopter-y. But she was making some progress these years. Maybe it was some parent in her own life who had tried to keep her safe all her life, too. Or, maybe she just knew that this was her only child, and had some internal fear of pushing them away. Either way, she knew that if she kept up her intense parenting, they wouldn't come around. So... she was working on it. But it was cold out!
