Living inside the cave wouldn't be very ideal to people. Well, normal people are what Daniel always thought. Daniel always loved the atmosphere of the dark cave filled with different water systems or new places to explore. His body made it easy to do so.
Would it be wrong to mention that Daniel really isn't normal. No, he was a slime. Yes, you heard that, a slime boy. Growing up, Daniel knew he wasn't a normal boy. His body was slimy and dripping with green ooze. Even his own parents hated his looks, but Daniel accepted that.
Hiding inside a cave was better anyway. The bats and other small critters comforted him. They never judged who he was, not like they could anyway.
The dark cave was silent, except for the occasional drip of the water from the ceiling of the rocks. Save for Daniel's footsteps walking, Daniel had his arms full with pretty rocks he has found around the cave systems and was not walking back to where his 'home' was.
He let out a sigh, looking down to his black boots and looking at his green, slimy skin that was drooping. It was disgusting, really, and the other pair of footsteps was really annoying—
Wait, pair of footsteps?
Daniel paused, his eyes widening as he saw another pair of boots in front of him. Immediately, he looked up and saw another human.
"What the hell—who are you?"
He spoke, his voice loud and also gruff. His eyes were wide as he held the rocks in his slimy and gooey green arms. The rocks slightly fazing into his body.
Sure, Daniel was confused. Yet he couldn't help but also feel nervous and concerned. He could survive here, no problem, but for a human to be here? No, it would be impossible. There was almost no food here, and the water was probably infected with germs. So why was this human here? What should Daniel do? He lost almost all his social skills after staying down here for so long.
Why do they look so...attractive too, did his standards really go down?
