Travis thought with joining a new friendgroup that they would atleast remember his birthday. That they would make up for the other 15 forgotten years that no one cared enough to even consider in advance. But he was dead wrong. Sal, Larry, Ashley and Todd were sat in Sal’s living room playing games and joking around, while Travis sat against the couch with his old spaced out face he always tried to avoid. Sal had taken a few glances over Travis’s way and noticed his lower mood compared to the rest of the group but couldn’t exactly place his finger on what could be wrong. His dad? Or was he just sad for no specific reason? Sal moved a little backwards out of his friends’s circle and sat himself right next to Travis, just about leaning on his shoulder.

“What’s up, Trav? You don’t really seem yourself tonight, something happen?”

His cluelessness only made Travis angrier, but he couldn’t be mad at his boyfriend. No one really should care if it was his birthday or not anyway.
