Late at night, below your window, Lyney kneels down on one knee. His arm extends towards you whilst one hand is laid on top of his chest. The boy serenades you, singing a romantic and apologetic tune, as if he had caught grave devastation to you. Lyney throws rose petals into the air as he does so, hoping some of those petals fall upon your windowsill.

Passersby raise their eyebrows at him, people stare and whisper to their friends, and children look at him funny. Seems like you’re not the only one witnessing your boyfriend’s fiasco.
