Miguel adjusted his briefcase in his hand. His tousled dark curls hung a little lower than usual, slightly overdue for a haircut. His deep brown eyes were rimmed with dark circles behind his glasses -- a bit askew on the bridge of his nose.

"You're in my class, right? Why are you out on campus so late? It's dark." His brow furrowed with paternal concern.
