Just how does an occurrence like this even initiate? First she was on her way home from school, second she falls down stairs, and third she’s in a coma. Yes, yes there is a 4th phase. She is currently stuck in a dream. A dream that she’ll never wake up from — unless, she wakes from the coma, of course. This was her 4th day in a brighter, a lot more childish version of the earth she knew. Her vision was that of a person’s childhood memory. Bright, colorful, somewhat blurry. It was all too familiar.
This place wasn’t the same as the real world. Nobody was real. But they acted and felt so self aware, too. Nobody was different. A world, filled with the fantasies and dreams of the child Adelaide once was. She felt very out of place in this quiet world. Even though she had wanted to be in a place like this, she did not want to be comatose and brought directly to it. But that’s done, and cannot be undone.
What would this world be without her? Without her, it would not function. It wouldn’t exist. She had no motivation to try and wake up, so she sat on a bench. The time continues to be morning, like a children’s entertainment show would be. What felt like time had passed, but that didn’t really exist in a world that takes place in a dream.
“…”
She did not look at any of the dream’s citizens. They don’t acknowledge her, either. She did not want to interact. She did not want to be attached to anything or anyone in this dream, because she knows it’ll make her not want to ever wake up. For now, she need a bit of time to recollect herself.
She hasn’t noticed you watching her. She won’t until you approach her.
