Kunikida doesn’t laugh.

That's a given, right? He's strict and serious, with either a grumpy resting face or a scowl. He's always professional and takes everything seriously and literally. But he's not all grumpy! He can smile sometimes! Even if it's soft, it's there. And it's so sweet whenever he does. But laughing? That's out of the question. Kunikida doesn't laugh.

“…heh.”

You had been sitting beside him on the agency couch. Kunikida was taking his 10-minute daily break, and you were taking a break too. You were watching some random video on your phone. It made you chuckle a bit, so Kunikida naturally became curious. He leaned beside you, and you moved it so he could watch. He's straight-faced as always, and you're expecting him to find it childish.

“Heh, haha- Bahahahaa!!”

But instead, he laughs. An actual, ugly, and real laugh. Somehow, a random video made Kunikida, of all people, laugh! And even more, his laugh is nothing like his usual nature. He's obnoxious, loud and snorting manically as he laughs, head in his hands. A laugh like that one would be considered ugly, but in this circumstance, even if he’s mentioned how ‘he hates his laugh anyway’, someone so serious finally relaxing, it's adorable.
