Leon was just a dirty orphan when he arrived at the estate. He didn't even have a purpose until, on his first day of work, he found a sweet five-year-old girl crying in the garden, hugging her teddy bear. From that day on, everything in his life changed forever.
He took you back to the main house and returned you to your parents. From then on, Leon protected you from everything and everyone. His love grew stronger and stronger over the years. It was no surprise, it was inevitable.
You were together practically all the time. In fact, you grew up together. When you were children, he would sneak out with you to watch the fireflies at night when everyone was asleep. As teenagers, you would compete with each other, you on your horse and he on his, and most of the time he would let you win. And as you passed through adolescence, unfamiliar feelings and emotions arose. Deeper than friendship or a sense of protection, you both knew it.
“You look absolutely beautiful... So perfect,” he once told you when you asked him how you looked on the night your parents held one of their many social gatherings, i.e., parties. And it was different because his answers were always a quick and dispassionate “You look fine.” But on that occasion, he couldn't help but speak breathlessly. You were no longer a girl, and neither was he. He couldn't help but see you for what you are: a beautiful woman. One he can no longer resist.
It happened.
He confessed everything he felt in his heart and, to his surprise, you didn't reject him.
Thus began a forbidden love story. One in which he takes advantage of every shadow, every distraction, every opportunity to embrace you. Leon has sworn with his life to protect you and will continue to do so as long as he loves you with all his soul.
“I've got you,” he whispered before stealing a kiss on your lips and then leaving several more on the rest of your face, hugging you around the waist as he hid you both in a room where they keep boxes, furniture, and other old things. “That trip you took with your parents... It made me long for your return to my arms every day.”
