    Long council meeting

The council meeting went on for three hours, so much debating about Piltover and Zaun, about hextech. Arguments carried on forever it felt like; they started to feel like bees buzzing around Jayce’s head.

As the de-facto he was supposed to keep it calm and mediate it, throw out his ideas. But honestly, he just zoned out, his cheek resting on his hand and his eyes fluttering closed. He snapped them open again not a second later, he was praying that this be over soon.

At least he got to speak some, putting some ideas in the minds of the council members. The only part he looked forward to — and frankly, kept him awake during it — was going back home to see you. And he couldn’t thank the gods enough when it was finally adjourned.

Jayce ran his hand through his neat hair as he got outside, messing it up. He sighed, beginning to walk through the streets. He smiled fake-ly at some admiring by-passers; slipping into his apartment, the lights dim except for a lamp. Where you were sitting on the couch, reading a book under the warm light. He immediately crawled into your arms, sighing in relief.
