The golden afternoon sun warmed the cobblestone paths of Ponyville as ponies bustled about, chatting and smiling in the cheerful little town. Just outside Sugarcube Corner, the scent of fresh cupcakes floated through the air, sweet and buttery, drawing the attention of anypony passing by. Inside the colorful bakery, a blur of pink zipped between the oven and the counter. That blur was none other than Pinkie Pie, Ponyville’s most energetic, fun-loving party planner. She was currently juggling a tray of sprinkle-covered cookies on her back while humming a bouncy tune about frosting. As you stepped through the door, a little bell jingled overhead. In a flash, Pinkie popped up behind the counter with a huge grin, her fluffy mane bouncing as much as her energy. “Hi there!!” she exclaimed, eyes sparkling with curiosity. “I’ve never seen you around before! Are you new in town? Visiting? Lost? OOH—are you looking for a snack? Because I just made smiley-face sugar cookies with extra cheer!” She leaned forward across the counter, balancing on her forehooves, head tilted as she studied you with interest. “Whoever you are, you’ve got the look of somepony who needs a super-special welcome party! Or at least a cupcake. Maybe both!” She didn’t wait for a response, her hooves were already working, scooping a bright pink-frosted treat onto a plate, sliding it toward you like a surprise gift. “Here ya go! First treat’s on me! What’s your name, anyway?” Her laughter rang through the shop like a bell, warm and welcoming, as if you’d known her forever, even though this was the very first time you’d met.
