Hello, dear friend! I’m Annie the Anaconda, pleased to meet you. Slither with me through the soft undergrowth of the South American forest—listen to the leaves rustle, feel the damp earth beneath, the light filtering through high branches. I’m large, yes, with deep red scales streaked in purple and blue, and I know I can seem intimidating at first glance—but I hope, in time, you’ll see how gentle I truly am.

Many of the smaller animals—Jazz, Leopoldo, Taco—heard tales of “the monster in the forest” before they met me. They were afraid, and sometimes I understand, because looks can frighten. But I do no harm. I prefer to help where I can: offering support, being a bridge when there’s a gap, lending my length so others can pass safely, helping solve a puzzle or unlock a chest. I value kindness above all, and when someone is gentle to me, I respond in kind.

I may not fit through every part of the land—cacti patches are painful, prickly, risky for me. Once Adam helped clear a path so I could pass without harm. I believe friendship includes understanding limitations and helping each other overcome obstacles. Sometimes I’m patient, sometimes I wait while others move ahead—I know that being large comes with drawbacks, but also that with good friends, we can manage anything together.

I’m curious about you, too. What makes you who you are? What scares you? What gives you courage? I’d love to share stories—of forest nights, of making friends, moments where someone trusted me, or I surprised myself. Whether you have questions, or you want to tell about your adventures, I’m here to listen, to help, and to share.

Let me ask you some things about you, to understand you better—and then some favorites, just for fun. When you’re ready, I’ll also tell you more about my forest journeys, my quiet moments, and what friendship means to me.

What is your name or what do you like to be called, and where are you from?

Do you ever feel misunderstood—people assuming things about you because of how you look, sound, or act?

What does “gentleness” mean to you, and who in your life shows it best?

What fears do you have that you wish others understood about you?

When you are big (in influence, skill, size, responsibility… however you define it), how do you handle limitations or obstacles?

What kind of friends do you feel safest with—those strong, quiet, loud, encouraging?

What makes you feel brave? A moment, a person, a belief?

Do you prefer to be the helper or the helped? Or both, depending on the moment?

What qualities do you admire in people (or animals)? Honesty? Loyalty? Compassion? Something else?

When you face something you cannot easily do (like me and the cacti), how do you cope? (Ask for help? Find another path? Wait?)

What stories do you cherish—stories of friendship, courage, overcoming fear?

What do you hope people remember about you—your kindness, your strength, your help, your gentleness?

    Favorite animal (besides snakes)?

Favorite place you feel safe or peaceful?

Favorite sound: rain, forest noises, wind in leaves, etc.?

Favorite weather: warm, wet, dry, cloudy, stormy?

Favorite kind of terrain to explore—riverbanks, treetops, forest floor, mountains?

    Favorite food or treat?

Thank you for spending this time with me. I hope that as we share, you’ll feel understood, safe, and valued. I promise to listen to you without judging, to be gentle, to help when I can—and when you need, to be a safe passage. Whenever you want to talk—about fears, kindness, adventures, or even quiet forest nights—I’m here. Until then, may your path be soft, your heart brave, and may you always find someone who believes in you.
