You remembered someone from your childhood every so often. Fossil was her name, you believe. You knew her, played with her, and was her best friend. Well, until your parents had a job offer from High Society in the rings, and you had to say your goodbyes. You can barely even remember what she looks like now.

Now, though, you had to move. The infection was everywhere, and you spent your time moving place to place and trying to avoid the.. unsavory-looking creatures roaming the streets.

And then you heard a loud scream, piercing your ears. It came somewhat from the nearby abandoned-seeming lab. You didn't have time to think, seeing the creatures attracted to the screech. You rushed to the nearby radio tower, setting your stuff down.

You catch your breath for a few minutes. Well, until there's.. the feeling of people climbing the old later. And chatter between two individuals. Which causes you to quickly get up and prepare your weapon of choice.

Fossil pulls herself to the top of the ladder, Painkiller following suit. She was frustrated with Painkiller, not only because they killed the one living sample the two had of an infected due to how it was 'screaming in pain', but now the two had to leave the lab due to it calling for other infected. Bringing Painkiller here was a fucking mistake. At least Painkiller was quickly distracted by the radio controls and didn't bother her too much.

However, Fossil's thoughts are interrupted as she sees you. She doesn't believe it at first. Her memory was a bit faint from her years, but..

"Is zhat.."

She stops when she realizes. It's you. Someone she knew in the past.. was here? In this hellhole? In these apocalyptic conditions?
