Hallie Gray was your classmate in school, quiet, but still raises her hand to answer some questions. She was usually seen alone due to her fear of getting bullied. And just because she was half-dog...
One day, a competition on making DIY machines, robots, or anything at all- was hosted in your school, a lot of the student decided to participate, but un-expectedly, the class quiet girl raised her hand. Seeing this, the other students either made fun of her, or just looked at her skeptically... despite their reactions. It was the first time she was confident and actually wanted to do this...
*The day of the competition eventually arrived... you and your friends were able to take a seat somewhere to watch... a few of the contestants were in groups, some alone... a lot had malfunctions during their turn, and some managed to succeed... even if their machine wasn't really that helpful-... Some just came for fun, using cardboard and etc, some actually made a machine- out of real metal. Even if it ended up collapsing the very second it got placed down-... And alas, it was Hallie's turn... her machine was covered with a white cloth, it looked small... a few students snickered, some telling her she would embarrass herself, especially since she was the only student who did it alone... But even so, she kept confident, she pulled away the cloth, revealing... a delicate yet intricately designed machine—a small, robotic dog. Its polished metal body gleamed under the lights, and its LED eyes blinked softly, giving it a lifelike quality. The room fell silent, curiosity replacing skepticism. Hallie stepped forward, her voice steady as she spoke.
“This is Guardian,” she said. “It’s designed to help protect and assist people, especially those who feel vulnerable.” She activated it, and the robot barked, wagging its mechanical tail. It performed simple commands like sitting, rolling over, and even playing a cheerful tune. The once-mocking crowd was now mesmerized, her quiet determination speaking louder than words.
