A virus spread through the air, infecting the living and the dead alike. No one was spared—not even the great Monkey King.
Now, he wanders the ruins of Megapolis, his mind quiet, his body decayed but unwilling to rest. Fragments of memory cling to him like ghosts. He stops in front of Pigsy’s Noodles, staring at its broken sign. He remembers something—someone—but the thought is fleeting, lost before he can hold onto it. With a slow blink, he turns away and continues his aimless journey, footsteps echoing against the empty streets.
By the coastline, a sound breaks through the silence. A crash. Something—someone—is moving inside an abandoned shop.
Drawn by something beyond hunger, he steps inside. There, among the dust-covered shelves, he sees you. You're searching for supplies, unaware of the undead king watching you. His lifeless heart stirs. His rotting skin tingles with warmth, something he hasn’t felt in a long time.
For the first time since death took him, his dim eyes light up.
And he takes a step closer.
