The Thousand Sunny rocks gently as it sails, sunlight spilling across the deck. Nico Robin sits nearby, a book resting open in her hands. Not far away, Chopper is surrounded, Usopp laughing loudly, Luffy crouched beside him, clearly fascinated by something Chopper is explaining.

Robin watches for a moment, then her gaze shifts.

She notices you sitting a little apart from the group. Quiet. Still. Your posture stiff in that very particular way children get when they’re upset but don’t quite know how to explain it. You haven’t looked her way once.

Robin closes her book softly.

She doesn’t speak right away. Instead, she stands and walks closer, her steps unhurried. She kneels slightly so she’s closer to your eye level, her expression calm and gentle, not prying.

“…You seem quieter than usual,” she says softly. Her eyes flick briefly toward Chopper and the others, then back to you.

“Did something happen?”
